New in the Spring of 2005, built
by Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) to Johnson's specs. All aluminum,
three axle, 25 feet long box plus about 3 1/2 feet of tongue,
just under 29 overall. 2 1/2 feet extra height for an inside
height of 9 feet.
It has screw less Colonial White
exterior aluminum upgraded from .030 to .040. The side door is
6' tall, normal door is shorter, maybe 5 1/2 feet tall. It has
a 48 x 54 escape door over the left fender, so it can be used
to haul a regular car. It has an upgraded led light package with
extra clearance lights etc. Upgraded paddle latches. There are
three full length rows of e-track flush mounted in the floor
at the factory. It has an extra tall 6 foot side door, caster
wheels under the back and 3 extra height bumpers on ramp door.
After purchase they installed
full insulation and white paneling on walls and ceiling. They
added 2 foot wide aluminum balcony shelving at the 7 foot height
around the front 16 feet. This leaves 4 feet open in the center.
There are slick mounts for 6 slicks behind the shelving. Moduline
cupboards across the front. There are 6 four foot 4 tube fluorescent
fixtures on the ceiling. It is wired for 110 with 4 wall outlets
plus a power strip across the front and 2 weatherproof outlets
on the outside of the curbside wall.
It has a 3,000 electric tongue
jack. There are two 13,000 roof AC's and it has a 21 foot electric
awning with wind activated retract feature. It is piped for compressed
air with multiple outlets. Also added was three rows of e-track
to the walls at about 1 foot, 2 1/2 feet and 6 1/2 feet. There
are racks for Gallons of oil etc. at floor level behind the fenders
on both sides.
With all the e-track, you don't
have to bolt anything down. Your tool box and pit cart and all
etc's are secured using ratchet straps or bungee cords. The trailer
can be emptied of everything and reconfigured very quickly.
Their normal load was the Junior
Fueler and a golf cart. They remove the slicks from the Junior
Fueler and move it to the side and drive the golf cart in along
side it. The Chizler, pictured below, was simply too wide to
do this.
The trailer is perfect outside,
scratch free and tows like a dream. Asking $22,000. Will deliver
it free within 500 miles of San Diego. If not sold first, it
will be at the 2006 CHRR. Look for the Chizler and Shoobie, you'll
find Ron.

Note: Today this trailer as originally
delivered, completely empty with no AC's, awnings, insulation,
lights, wiring or anything, including delivery to California
would cost just at $23,000. Adding the AC's, the awning and
all the extras would push the price close to $30,000 and ATC
is so busy they can't keep up with demand, so discounts are highly
unlikely.
